Nov 7th, 2012. Kris Menace collaborates with Miss Kittin for song “Hide”. The song is part of Kris Menaces “Features” Album, available on iTunes. A very beautiful song. The vocals & the beat blind well together, a very fresh track. The sound of Kris & vocals of Miss K gives of a sort of luxurious feeling that can be felt as soon as you hear the song. To note the video, it’s a very minimalist different type of video. Much different than the videos we normally see. Tasteful & a fresh take. The video was animated & directed by Mathieu Bétard. The patterns featured throughout the video was impressive as well.

From C2C’s new album TETRA (on iTunes) comes Down the Road. Recently featured on Dr. Pepper Commercial 1/1 commercial. The song spouts Justice-esque/Daft Punk sounds with a sample from Eddie Cusic’s – You Don’t Have to go, and a awesome harmonica solo. A great mix of old and new music, and makes for a great dance tune.

Were going back into the early to mid-90s when the electronic/techno music scene was large. The song I choose was Orbital – Halcyon which has made appearances in movies like Mortal Kombat (1995), Hackers (1995), and Mean Girls (2004). The song is a mix of ambient and house influences making it equally a peaceful and dance worthy song. It starts out with an ambient peaceful flow. Possibly the most emotional part of the song (depends on your view). Leads into the electronic dance/house part of the song. So, apparently after your finished crying you can groove. The song reminds me of the style of current artists such as Royksopp and Basement Jaxx.

Ok, so I know I haven’t posted in a month. Been too busy with classes, and studying. So today I decide to post a track I’ve been fond of for awhile. Machinedrum – DDD. If you’ve ever heard/listened to Azealia Banks, you might notice it’s the instrumental to 1991. He’s actually produced a few Azealia Banks songs like Van Vogue, and Aquababe. The song has an 90s house/RnB influences. Very much fond of the synths & drumbeat. It’s more of a tribute to classic house music (Understand This Groove).

So, awhile ago I posted up a remix of Duran Duran – Girls on Film.

Recently received a email from the producer.

So, now I have a more updated site with his works.

Today, I have an remix of Whitesnake – Is This Love that he sent me a few days ago.

As soon as you hear this remix

you can tell the 80s-electropop inspired feel. It’s

got a bit of French House set into the track as well.

This remix sets in the electronic feel while still staying to true to

the feeling of the original song.

The sense of wonder & yearning in the original song.

The mix of the electronic, keyboard, & drum beats

absolutely amazing. Everything held together perfectly

to create an 80s-esque electro song.

If I didn’t know any better I would have probably though

this track was actually made in the 80s.
